This ZnS 32x3mm disc is insoluble in water, and normal acids and bases.  Zinc Sulfide reacts to strong oxidizing agents, but has good resistance to thermal and mechanical shock.  The working wavelength range for ZnS is 17,000 - 722 cm-1.
